How to Make Curtains

Well I told you that I would make a post on how to make curtains so here it goes...

First you will need one of these:

This is a Julie.  There are many Julies but this one is mine.  (She can make anything) But really you just need a mom...well technically a Grandma but any wise and crafty woman will do.

O hey Grandma Julie!  What cha doing?

(Ignore the half-dead plant in the background.  I promise I can take care of my child but plants, well, plants and I don't really get along.)

Next you will need some type of fabric for the Julie to make into a curtain.  I chose this shower curtain fabric I found at TJ Max because I liked the design and it was a lot of fabric for a price that doesn't hurt one's wallet.

If you want to get super crafty, pair the fabric with another piece of fabric to make a fun design.  The Julie sewed this chocolate brown fabric on to the green and brown fabric to make the curtains less "busy".

The Julie is hard at work here.  She's sewing the tops of the curtains to make them fit on the curtain rods. (You must imagine the Julie saying, "Jackie!  Stop taking pictures of me!  I'm working!")

Next you will need an ironing board.  This is where I came in.  My job was to iron the curtains!  I felt like I helped out.  It's a small step on my journey to become as crafty as my mom.

Next step: Get a man figure to install the curtain rods/hang up the curtains.  Cue Dan.

TA-DAH!  And now you have curtains for your baby's room...or where ever you decided to put them up.  (I am not a photographer and I don't stage my rooms.  This is called a real life/lived in room)

And that is how you make curtains.  Any questions?  I'll have to refer you to the Julie for answers.
